East Malaysia on 18-25 November. He expects to operate on HF and

C5 - A total of eleven operators (namely
DL9GFB, LA6FJA, N0DY, OH3BHL, OH9MDV, OH9MM, YL1ZF, YL2GM, YL2KL,

The Gambia [425DXN 595]. They will be active as C56R on 160-6
metres CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV from 20 November until 2
December, including an entry in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as C53M.

EA6 - DL1GGT, DL1SAN and DL6SAQ will
participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as EA6/DL1GGT (Multi-Two)
from Menorca in the Balearic Islands (EU-004). In the UTC morning
hours of 19 November they will take advantage of the Leonids
meteor shower and operate on 2 metres from JN20 (EA6/DL6SAQ),

ER - Special event station ER60SB will be
aired on 17-24 November and again from 23 January through 2
February to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Battle of

KL - John, KL7JR will be active from Shemya
Island (NA-037) for a month starting on 24 November. Look for him

LA - LA1LGN is the special callsign used for
operation from the Coastal Radio Station LGN - Bergen Radio to
celebrate its 90 years of service for ships at sea. From 18
through 30 November it will be replaced by LM1LGN. Special QSL
via bureau or direct to LA1B. Details on this activity can be

On 23 and 24 November LGN - Bergen Radio itself will be be
calling amateur radio stations on 3631 kHz USB and listen for
calls (CW or USB) between 3650 and 3700 kHz. Look for LGN at
14-16 UTC and 18-20 UTC on 23 November, and at 10-12 UTC and

LU & CE - Jacques/F5JY, Yves/F5TYY,
Alain/F6BFH, Jacquie/F6EGG and Bernard/F9IE [425DXN 597] operated
as LU/homecall from Redonda Island (SA-049) on 12 November and as
CE8/homecall from Navarino Island (SA-050) on 13-14 November.
Their next plans are not known, but, according to La Gazette du
DX, they are likely to return to France earlier than expected due
to the high cost of the boat they used to reach Navarino. Their
original plans were to remain in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego

601] from 19 until 28 November. Paul will participate in the CQ
WW DX CW Contest (SOAB), before and after the contest look for
activity mostly on 12, 17 and 30 metres. They will then move to
Sao Tome (AF-023) and be active on 10-20 metres until 2 December.

XU - Hiroo, JA2EZD/XY1M left Yangon on 11
November, after some 3500 QSOs. He will be back to Myanmar in
January 2003, when he will concentrate on the low and WARC bands.
Hiroo is currently in Cambodia and has got a new callsign
(XU7ADX); he and 7N4QHA/XU7ACG will be active (with an empahisis
on 6 metres for Europe) from Sihanoukville until 20 November. QSL
