3W - Hans, WA1LWS plans to be on the air (CW
only) from Vietnam on 9-26 November, including en entry in the CQ
WW DX CW Contest. [TNX The Daily DX]
5T - After a short trip to Bujumbura, Burundi
(9U5) Yannick, F6FYD will be based in Nouakchott, Mauritania (5T)
for six months at least. He will be active on all bands SSB. QSL

5T - Eight operators from I.A.R.V. will visit
Mauritania and operate as 5T5U from 10 to 16 November. They might
also be active as S07CRS from Western Sahara. QSL via JA1UT (team

8P - Martyn, G3RFX will be active again as
8P9FX from Barbados (NA-021) on 12-16 November, mainly CW (40-10
metres) with some SSB. QSL via home call. Further information and

CT - CT1BWW and CT1DGK will be signing CQ2K
on 10-12 November. Look for them on all bands (except 160 metres)

EA - Look for Pepe, EA5KB to be active from
Penyeta del Moro (EU-151) on 4-5 November (also CW); from El
Recati (DIEI V-010, not IOTA) and El Tancat (V-012, not IOTA) on

HV - Look for HV5PUL to operate on HF, 6 and
2 metres from the Pontificia Universita' Lateranense, Vatic City

J3 - Chip, W1AIM will be active on 6 metres
(50110 and 50125 kHz) as J3/W1AIM from Carriacou Island (NA-147)

R1A_ant - Operator Gennady is expected to be
active as R1ANP from Russian Antarctic Base Progress. Look for
him on 14.160 kHz at 15-18 UTC. [TNX UR4LUG]
SP - Special event stations SP2000S (SP-two
thousand-S) and SN2000C (SN-two thousand-C) will be active on all
bands and modes until 31 December to celebrate the new
millennium. QSL SP2000S via SP5ZCC, QSL SN2000C via SP9PKZ. [TNX

VE - Terry, VE7TLL lives on NA-051 and will
operate as VE7TLL/p from Kaien Island (NA-061) over this weekend.

business commitments caused the 27-29 October S21AM and
S21YS operation from Char Kukri Mukri (AS-140) [425DXN
490] to be postponed. The new date will be announced in

NEW BOOK ---> "Long-Path
Propagation, Revisited in Year 2000" (91 pages, 67
figures), is an update of NM7M's earlier book,
"Long-Path Propagation", written almost ten
years ago. The update expands the original discussion, a
year-long study on 20 CW, to include new information on
long-path propagation and the other bands, 10 to 160

reports the following: "Operation from 4U1ITU in the
CQ WW contest has not been 100% QSLed - only those who
specifically asked for a card have got one (via Bureau).
I've got copies of the log and can QSL anyone who wants a
card. The 10 and 18MHz CW operation over that weekend has
been QSLed 100% via Bureau. Note: this applies ONLY to
operation over the weekend of Oct 28/29 - I have no logs
for any other period."
